Cell-phone application disables texting and internet while driving

HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM)- If your are concerned about your teenager texting and driving, a new cell-phone application could be the answer. It prevents drivers from texting and using the internet when a driver is going more than 10-miles an hour.
The application is called Textecution. Right now, it can be downloaded onto android devices only. Matt Bartlett, Manager of Wireless Zone in Holland says right now, his store is offering it for free. "It blocks texting on a phone if the GPS tracks it for going more than 10-miles an hour or faster."
Research shows that your chance of having an accident increases significantly when texting and driving. On January 12th, it turned deadly for 18 year old Eric Helm. He was a student at Jenison. Investigators say he was texting his girlfriend when he crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck. (Read More)
