In the market for a cell phone?
While you could go shopping for this item at a generic cell phone store, it’s unlikely that establishment will be owner-operated and run by an individual with years of wireless experience.
In other words, that store is unlikely to be the Wireless Zone, a retailer of Verizon Wireless products and services. Founded in 1988 as The Car Phone Store, the Wireless Zone is now the largest wireless retail franchiser in the United States. Though the economy hasn’t exactly been receptive to business owners, Wireless Zone signed and found financing for nearly 100 franchisees last year.
One of those franchisees is Ray Leung, who opened a Wireless Zone store in the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough in November. The opening increases Leung’s number of Wireless Zone locations to seven.
